About Me

My Approach

I am a compassionate and empathetic counsellor specialising in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) whilst also drawing on other therapeutic approaches such as Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT), person-centred therapy, and mindfulness. My approach is rooted in creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you can freely explore your thoughts and feelings. I believe in the power of collaboration and support, guiding you on your journey toward meaningful change and personal growth. Together, we can work through challenges, develop coping strategies, and empower you to lead a fulfilling life. I look forward to being part of your journey.

My Background and Training

I initially studied biology at university and this led me to a career in science however I always had an interest in the mind and mental health. After working in a corporate environment for many years, I sought more fulfillment in my career and took the first steps to becoming a counsellor by embarking on a Counselling Skills course. Following this, I completed a Diploma in Counselling and Groupwork - a Cognitive Behavioural Approach.

I have worked with a diverse range of clients experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, and drug and alcohol addiction, among other issues.

I am a registered member with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and am bound to their code of ethics.
